The system of liability of articles III and IV of the Hague [Visby] Rules is Dr Nick Margetson’s Phd thesis, published in 2008. It is a comparitive law study of the application of the Hague [Visby] Rules under American, English and Dutch law, whereby Australian and Canadian law is also incidentally discussed. The purpose of the book is to establish whether or not the Rules are applied uniformly under the different legal systems.
